Yesterday marked the beginning of recycling week in the UK, and to celebrate the occasion, four British sculptors created replicas of notable works of art and architecture throughout the UK -- using only soda cans. Replicas were made of ANGEL OF THE NORTH, Anthony Gormley's famous sculpture in the northeastern town of Gateshead, the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, the Birmingham Bull, and the iconic Big Ben in central London. Take a look at this story from the BBC to see the sculptures.
It's nice to see that sculpture is being used to motivate people to be nice to their planet, but it's a little sad that, in a few days' time, the sculptures will be recycled and all that hard work lost!
